It is ridiculous to cancel a movie only because it isn’t a "EVENT" movie. Do you really want to go up against Marvel? If that’s the case, why do you hesitate to introduce new characters? This is incredibly foolish and disrespectful to the Batgirl team #ReleaseTheBatgirlMovie pic.twitter.com/bEPTdYNDG4

Irredeemable? According to multiple outlets, including us, BATGIRL had a test screening back in June and received an overwhelming positive response.

How is ‘BATGIRL’ not a big event movie?!

A film introducing Batgirl heavily based off of one of her best comics (YEAR ONE) with BRANDEN FASER as the villain, Michael Keaton returning as THE BATMAN, Robin finally introduced & Black Canary returning is not a big event?
BULLSHIT. pic.twitter.com/4NVW6YjIR3
I saw an assembly cut of BATGIRL a few months ago and this is an insane decision. The movie is great. Batman has to move to Cambodia because he's on the flight logs and they don't extradite. Batgirl does a media tour to cover for him. Hell of a film. https://t.co/bKLNCR1av4

Folks who are like “Batgirl was shelved because it was bad” acting as if that has ever stopped WB from releasing something before, lol.

So, WB/Discovery cancels Batgirl, a movie with a POC lead.

Ezra Miller assaults 3 women & kidnaps another and is still in hiding, but WB/DC won’t cancel The Flash
Not a good look, at all.
