Nach Unmengen an Fotos und Videos vom Set ist der nächste DC-Film im Kasten. Wir haben nicht mitgezählt, wie oft Margot Robbie für Birds of Prey - voller Titel: Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) - das Outfit gewechselt hat, aber es kam uns sehr oft vor. Und eines war schriller als das andere. Nun gibt LuckyChap Entertainment, ihre Produktionsfirma, auf Instagram das Drehende bekannt nebenbei auch das offizielle Logo preis.
Zum ersten Mal seit Suicide Squad spielt Robbie wieder ihre Harley Quinn, und sie hat ein paar neue Spielgefährtinnen gefunden. Mary Elizabeth Winstead als die Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell als Black Canary, Rosie Perez als Renee Montoya und Newcomerin Ella Jay Basco als Cassandra Cain sind Harleys Girl-Gang, die es mit Ewan McGregors Black Mask und dessen Schergen, darunter Chris Messina (Argo) als Victor Zsasz, aufnehmen muss.
Und Robbie könnte sehr bald schon wieder weißes Make-up tragen, wenn James Gunn sie wirklich für The Suicide Squad nutzt, was Warner Bros. sicher lieb wäre - Produktionsstart soll im September sein. Mit Birds of Prey landet sie im Februar 2020 auf der Kinoleinwand, Regisseurin Cathy Yan (Dead Pigs) hat also noch viel Zeit für die Postproduktion.
